Río

River
A river passes and I watch it, downstream it goes
A river of river water, flowing down to the sea
Where is the sea, how far away is it?
A river, an old path for a new walk
Sometimes alone and empty, not feeling like talking
Where will all this loneliness end up?
And when a river passes, inside me, through my voice
And as if flying, my heart floods
I also laugh.
A river passes and looks at me, I go downstream
A river of still water that warms the sun
Where is the sun, how far away am I?
Sometimes it comes sad, black, red, and without a song
Dragging absence made of war and pain
I don't laugh anymore...
We all seek the same, feel the same
We all walk following the same flow
Afraid of never reaching the shore
And when the river sings as if wanting to forget
And when it wants to overflow from my chest
I also laugh...
