Getsêmane
Maysa Borges
Gethsemane
In Gethsemane is where He prayed
Crying out to the Father saying if possible
Pass this cup
And even in anguish He cared for me
He gave Himself in my place so that I could have life
Then He drank the cup
It seems like I'm there
Seeing Jesus being handcuffed and the soldiers
Taking Him, to be judged in court
And finding no fault in Him
Yet He was still condemned
I see Him carrying the cross and the soldiers
Whipping Him to Calvary in silence
He walks there
With every step He took, His blood remained
But He didn't give up on me
Come, come see the pain He is feeling
With His body bloodied
Feet and hands nailed to a cross
Come, come see the price He paid
For me and for you, without asking for anything
Jesus died there, He didn't abandon us
Yes, I love the message of the cross
Until I die, I will proclaim it
I will also carry my cross
Until I exchange it for a crown
