Una Cuncuna Amarilla
Mazapan
A Yellow Caterpillar
A yellow cradle
Under a mushroom lived
There in the middle of a branch
He had hidden his bed
I ate pieces of leaves
I was sunbathing in the treetops
He liked to climb up and look
To the bugs that can fly
Why can't I be like them?
He asked looking at the skies
Why do I have to crawl?
What I want is to fly!
One day something strange happened to him
He felt his body swollen
He didn't feel like going out
I just wanted to sleep
He put on a silk shirt
He hid in a big fig tree
He slept all winter
And with wings he woke up
Now I can fly
Like that cute thrush
I am a butterfly
With my wings I'm leaving
