No Es Un Cuento
MC Juampa
Not a Fairy Tale
In the wonderland country, they sell girls for money
Not even my pillow is made of cotton, nor the clouds are candies
Fairies no longer come in because I put up a mosquito net
And the only magic words today are 'I love you'
Companies deforested the enchanted forests
Pinocchio is now a real man, he's an employee
In a bank, eight hours a day, he's bitter
Since Snow White is a healthy daughter of the patriarchy
Sleeping Beauty got tired of being asleep
Because the story of being rescued was a lie
She no longer waits for her prince, she's with her friends
She goes on tour to fulfill her own fantasies
Little Red Riding Hood went to see a friend
She was kidnapped by a wolf in the forest and is missing
Some dinosaurs in the senate still
Blame the way she was dressed
And it's not a fairy tale, it's everyday life!
Reality long ago surpassed fantasy
And there is no magic, the mafias have won
And happy endings are a thing of the past
It's not a fairy tale, it's everyday life
Reality long ago surpassed fantasy
And there is no magic, the mafias have won
And happy endings are a thing of the past
Castles do exist, they call them mansions
But inside there are people more dangerous than dragons
I didn't want to be a knight or princesses with flowers
I dreamed of being a star and made of lines
Quasimodo didn't find love because of his appearance
They say racism set fire to his church
The Little Mermaid was drowned in a police station
And now the only siren is from the police
The Little Prince reached the throne and became a dictator
The essential is invisible to the eyes of the winner
No one dreams of flying, we were given something better
Traveling around the world through the monitor
The stories gather dust in a gray library
And the only magic dust enters through the nose
All fantasies of the unhappy are sexual
I wanted to go to Neverland but they ask for ID
And it's not a fairy tale, it's everyday life!
Reality long ago surpassed fantasy
And there is no magic, the mafias have won
And happy endings are a thing of the past
It's not a fairy tale, it's everyday life
Reality long ago surpassed fantasy
And there is no magic, the mafias have won
And happy endings are a thing of the past
Things have changed
And there's no turning back
Humans for power destroy everything in their path
History repeats itself, the terror
The injustice, the hunger, and the lack of love
We are foolish animals, we don't learn
We applaud the bad and submit the good
Let's see if we change something, it's time
Let's rewrite this story that we still have time for
And it's not a fairy tale, it's everyday life!
