Brasil de Quem? (Parte 2)

MC Sid MC Sid

Whose Brazil? (Part 2)

To not say that I didn't talk about the flowers
The loves in mind, the flowers on the ground
The certainty ahead, the story in hand
Walking and singing, following the song
Learning and teaching a new lesson

Brazil: A country of few
Of privileges divided in the wrong way
It's too much for a few and too little for many
It's corruption and prejudice
And the trend is only getting worse, unfortunately

Welcome to chaos, 2018
Where violence is more important than the election
Where the election is more important than humanity
Since humanity is a forgotten word by this generation
I see hatred, shots, murder
I see anger, screams, fraud
I see the population killing and dividing itself
To try to guess the best candidate
And what if I tell you there's no best candidate?
And that the people of this country are already tired
They walk deluded, without hope
Without jobs and without food to put on their children's plates
If we idolized the people like we idolize politicians
The country wouldn't be in this critical state
And if you judged the rich's theft like you judge the poor's theft
Corruption would already have the death penalty

Your problem isn't economic (no)
Your problem is social
And it's sad to see your need
For someone to spread your prejudices, but on a national scale
Not everyone who is left-wing is a communist
Don't believe that talk from the right
They just want to create a villain
So the hero can kill with the perfect excuse
Party war is just an illusion
For you to think you were part of the decision
Remember that, facing me, my left is your right
Therefore, politics is just a point of view

It doesn't matter, I try to think about the future
Without forgetting what's behind
What the dictatorship did to my parents
To your parents, to our peace
To this country, by the way
Think well, Brazil is not just love and slave quarters
Remember, change comes with pain, not suitcases
Prejudice dissipates its odors in the ditches
In the slums, funerals don't have flowers, they have bullets
I hope change comes by bullet train
Rap is the revolution that rides in an Opala
I know that racial prejudice still separates us
But those who fight for something greater never stay silent

I could blame PT or PSL
Or any of those P for bastard parties
But corruption isn't in the party's P
It's in the person's P personality
I'll never support torture apology
I still prefer the culture of abundance
Politics in Brazil is like music
Only those who study know how to read sheet music
You want to pass a law that allows gun possession
Security isn't the same as a gun on your waist
There's only one law that will change Brazil
It's called read-ing

They finally managed to divide us
To create space and play with your mind
Now right and wrong have lost perspective
That's why you believe those who lie
It's fake news here, fake news there
I don't believe in the press anymore, only in WhatsApp on the phone
The phone in the hands of the common people has become a weapon
Sabotage warned, you just didn't want to listen
My social struggle isn't for me, brother
But for those who didn't have my opportunity
Love comes above all (all!)
And not just for the similar
Yes, love for all diversity

For the white, black, poor, rich
For the guy, the girl, the noble, the ghetto
For the straight, gay, trans or bisexual
Rights were supposed to be equal for everyone
For the indigenous, the northeastern
For the carioca, the candango, the paulista
The right-wing, the leftist, the feminist woman
The square, the artist
May there be rights where the human being exists
