Dia de Glória
Mc Tchesco
Glory Day
For every favela kid, mc thesko just asks for a day of glory
Today I cry telling you about my life
That was never normal, always full of suffering
No opportunities for me to grow
Barefoot, I climb my humble favela
And see the future among alleys and lanes
But poverty makes living difficult
And that's why the younger ones are so rebellious
And exchange shots all the time
Trading a rifle for a school notebook
It leads nowhere, but surviving is everything
When a tracer sight, selling drugs becomes your job
Suffering strikes and with it, despair
And I was born a soldier programmed to die
I'm upset, the daily routine hasn't found an answer yet
A life of crime is a one-way trip
But my shield is God to protect me
What a pity to be a millionaire in this crazy falseness
Why have money if I don't have freedom?
With a hood on, I see the world out there, it's tough, it's tough!
And the prison that chains our dreams
And along with the longing
That hits my chest and my true friends
Who live this life that I sing to you
Being a drug dealer or a 157 bandit is a profession
But the end of the story ends up in a coffin
And the good side of life
We will never see
Humiliation will only end in the eternal closing of the eyes
And with the death of one of us, I always cry
Jesus exists and I know that one day this will end
Son of an owner, why does my father always make me go through this?
If today the life I lead is that of a bandit
Who always longed to have a day of glory
