El Soldado

I remember that as a child,
I never wanted to be a soldier,
I never wanted to fight,
I just liked to fight for my freedom
and dream to live and to fly.

I destroyed the weapons
that came into my hands,
I could never understand
how I was going to think
that war brings peace.
If that's how it ends.

How much time has passed
they no longer give me gifts
they force me to play without any option
I only have left to dream
and play for peace only me.

When my dreams end
and I return to reality
I lose the opportunity
and freedom always dreams of peace
Where is the reason to kill?
