Clear blue waters
winds blowing in from the South.
False promises in the air
that some prophet foretold.
So close yet others so far
because of more than one curse,
making thousands of years
trap them in their core.
They play for all or nothing
crossing the sea without a helm
and still, there are those who want
money from their sweat.
Bodies floating in the water
that couldn't make it
to the land of their dreams
now rest in peace.
