Vidala Del Nombrador
Melania Pérez
The Name Caller's Vidala
I come from the deep drum of the Moon
In the memory of the pure animal
I'm a splinter of earth that returns
Towards its ancient mineral root
I'm the one who sings behind the verse
The one who in the river's foam must return
Living landscape, my song is the water
That rises through the jungle to bloom
I'm the one who paints the grapes
And then paints them over again
I dry the green stick
And make the dry one sprout
I come from inside the sleeping man
Under the clayey and carnal earth
Branches of blood, I bloom in the wine
And the barbaric love of the carnival
I name the earth embraced by the tropics
Source of stars, waist of light
And the wooden heart of Salta
I climb on wild horses through the blue night
I'm just a little arjonera
A name that won't be lost
And even if they throw it in the river
It will return on the foam
