Un Tipo Diferente

A Different Kind of Guy
I've sewn my heels to my shadow
So they can endure the whole way with me
To leave behind all that confuses me
I go singing traveler there is no path
If I've never taken the bull by the horns
It's because I haven't reached the pedals yet
And fame has sewn me a mask
That I can only take off during carnivals
And wanting to be a different kind of guy
I always run away from any comparison
I don't like paying much attention to people
I've always learned more from experience
And life has taught me over these years
Through dealing with so many people
Nobility and affection are in the neighborhoods
And with money even crap looks good
And even though I don't find it funny
My record doesn't get cold
Snuggled between blankets between Paulina and El Divo
And if the people rise up I'll lay down with you
But today our hope
Is nothing more than a whore in retirement
I've trampled on my principles
I've painted on toilet lids
Forgot to put a message in the bottle
I'm a sad blank page without a letterhead
The guitar strings break on me
When I see the world upside down
And if you try to put your hand in its skirt
Those in charge will bite you back
And wanting to be a different kind of guy
I always run away from any comparison
I don't like paying much attention to people
I've always learned more from experience
And life has taught me over these years
Through dealing with so many people
Nobility and affection are in the neighborhoods
And with money even crap looks good
And even though I don't find it funny
My record doesn't get cold
Snuggled between blankets between Paulina and El Divo
And if the people rise up I'll lay down with you
But today our hope
Is nothing more than a whore in retirement
And even though I don't find it funny
My record doesn't get cold
Snuggled between blankets between Paulina and El Divo
And if the people rise up I'll lay down with you
But today our hope
Is nothing more than a whore in retirement
