Historia de dos
Melendi
Story of two
He spent his life in one-night hotels,
she lost everything in the back seat of a car.
And he always said he had a story to tell,
she had nothing and that day decided to listen.
He peeked into the cleavage of loneliness,
in the same bar where she turned her dreams into smoke.
And he always said there must have been something where something was,
and so he left the paradise of artificial pleasure.
He approached asking for her name,
she thought to herself be kind but today there's no desire for men.
And he insisted I have an empty house and bed,
and she replied so is my heart.
“She said every story has its end,
and I've learned not to look back.
He told her don't be scared if I don't want to love today,
if tonight I just want to wake up with you.
And nothing more.”
The night came in to light up the room,
she undressed helped by other hands.
He kissed the dark well drawn by her lips,
she roamed the empty space left by his arms.
He tried to memorize her whole body,
to be able to have that pleasure at any other time.
She tried to make sense of it all,
he lied mercifully and needy of course I love you.
She woke up naked and alone on the mattress,
trying to remember him without a mind in her thighs.
He might be asking another woman for her name,
she dressed calmly and left that hotel.
“She said every story has its end,
and I've learned not to look back.
He told her don't be scared if I don't want to love today,
if tonight I just want to wake up with you.
And nothing more.”
