Calle La Pantomima
Melendi
Pantomime Street
There was once a long time ago
that I had a dream...
That I stopped being an adult
to be little again.
Where the plants that were smoked
were grown on the balconies.
Where life passed us by, lerelere.
Where cats are afraid of mice,
where the moon set every day,
where pedestrians make the laws
and the police don't bother us,
where punches taste like caresses,
and drug dealers don't forgive mistakes.
I live on the street... The Pantomime
And waking up startled on my pillow
I saw Campanila escaping through my window...
Where the plants that were smoked
were grown on the balconies.
Where life passed us by, lerelere.
Where cats are afraid of mice,
where the moon set every day,
where pedestrians make the laws
and the police don't bother us,
where punches taste like caresses,
and drug dealers don't forgive mistakes.
I live on the street... The Pantomime
Street of madmen and dreamers,
street of the noise of your heels,
street of rats, and pirates,
street that shouts, with courage,
street of nobody, street of everybody,
if I'm not careful, street of fools,
street of glasses, and clowns,
street of dirty tricks and deals,
street of kisses, between your legs,
street of excesses, with bottles,
stereo street, street with art,
silent street damn it,
street of streets.
