Fiesta de Pájaros

Birds' Party
In the parrot's house
A birds' party got started
Here comes the little hen
With her chicks dancing
Up the hill, down the hill
From Europe came the finch
Dressed like a sparrow
In his red spotted suit
A bit worn out
Up the hill, down the hill
Spinning in came the hummingbird!
And the slow-flying agami
And the robin didn’t miss out
With his head held high and red chest
Up the hill, down the hill
Spring has arrived
With the messenger dove
And brought a bit scared
The resurrected bird
Sing, dance
What a great party
Fly, sing, oh! Oh!
Heart of Venezuela
Carrying a bag of figs
Here comes the fig daddy
And he had no shortage of excuses
To hand out insects
Up the hill, down the hill
The woodpecker
Built a path
Filled with lots of lights
Where the ostriches dance
Up the hill, down the hill
And that’s how the party got going
Long after the siesta
With the exceptional entrance
Of the majestic peacock
Up the hill, down the hill
Everyone dressed in colors
And smelling sweet
Playing who sings and who flies
In the soul of Venezuela
Sing, dance
What a great party
Fly, sing, oh! Oh!
Heart of Venezuela
