Hidden In My Country
I am from that country that is always
Looking for the way
Of freedom, identity
Like the riverbed seeks the river
I can't find it
Reality looks towards another
Destination
I am mountain range and sea
Jungle plain and desert
Rivers lagoons and mountains
Puna and salt flat
And I am also part of this
American soil
I am located in the south
Where life beats
Where time still exists
Space and flower
I am that country that few know
What is in me
I want to be the Sun
To shine with my own light
And thus give the radiance
That springs from my soul
Finally this light
Is a debt that is
Casting a shadow on me
I will be hidden
While everyone ignores me
And does not want to know
My ancient root
Today I am a crucible
And here I am
Looking forward
My flag is blue sky
In it white clouds sail
And a star of fire in its heart
I am that country that everyone calls Argentina
