El Maestro Y El Violín
Michael Rodriguez
The Master And The Violin
At an auction they offered an instrument
Full of dust mistreated and all crooked
No one offered even a penny for it
There was no way to look at it optimistically
From the crowd rose a great master
A respected concert performer by his people
He took the abandoned violin in his hands
Started to clean and restore, and tuned its pegbox
He tuned it, placed it on his shoulder and began
To play it
He took the violin and began to play it
Those strings began to move
Producing excellent melodies
From that violin that a while ago was scrap
Chords were heard that a thousand guitars don't produce
It was thanks to the caring hands of the master
That that violin became a new one
Everyone offered with one voice for the instrument
Because they recognized the miracle, and the work that the master did
He took it, tuned it and the master made its strings
Sound
He gave it life, restored it and the world heard
Its chords
Come to light, come to Jesus! and the Lord will make
You his instrument
He will restore you because he is the master
