Por Ser Vagabundo
Miguel Aceves Mejía
For Being a Vagabond
I ain't got no relatives or friends,
No parents, no siblings,
I'm alone in the world.
And the people who cross my path,
They turn away from me for being a vagabond.
Nobody knows that being so poor
I live content with my suffering.
As friends, I have the moon, the sun,
The stars, and the four winds.
I don't want anyone and no one wants me
And I have no one to tell my stories to.
I'm freer than all the waves
That frolic in the wide sea.
I owe nothing and no one owes me,
I live my life without worries.
If today I have nothing, tomorrow if I have
What a life without obligations.
For a roof, I have the sky.
My home is the world, the streets and corners.
To forget about any feeling
Or if I'm feeling happy, I have plenty of bars.
I don't want anyone and no one wants me
And I have no one to tell my stories to.
I'm freer than all the waves
That frolic in the wide sea.
