I charted the course, trusted my luck, acted tough and went
I dodged the old folks, ignored their advice, wandered through paths and gardens
I discovered the world at the end of the yard
I drew a map, made a cape from a cloth, crafted utopian plans
Riding the winds and the supplies, with Coke and Mentos, I went
To the ends of the earth, to the end of the yard.
Clearing the brush, tracing the path where the wild grass points
I pricked myself on a cactus, stepped on a cat's tail, got lost in the grass
I saw the end of the world at the back gate, defended life with a stick
I ran from a bug, stepped in some crap, passed close to a scorpion
That's how I saw the world's edges
All that's left is the cunning of a stuffed dog as the sun disappears
And an Action Force that sent an SOS in Morse code
I discovered the end of the world at a cost
Until a furious roar shook the whole yard
Is it a cyclone, some hungry dragon, or something much worse?
It was my mom's voice asking for me.
