Reflection
Sometimes I don't recognize myself
When I look in the mirror
I wonder who the hell is that in the reflection
Where there used to be a child
Now I only see an old man
Who has traded toys for tobacco and aged rum
Bad women, the game, the drugs
I put on a gold chain
But I felt like a noose
The watch on my wrist says my time has come
I'm sure if I die
It's when I'm playing on the radio
Because hypocrisy is in charge here
I'm so full of hate and anger
I'm on fire with cold hands
I know if I speak to her, you wouldn't respond
Whose reflection do I see?
There's nothing left of what was there yesterday
The lost look
Changes your life
I can't recognize myself
Today you have the world at your feet
And tomorrow your train passes by
Only trams remain
Heading towards droughts
And I'm dying of thirst
(Thirsty)
These letters burn me, my notebook is on fire
If she's not here by my side, my soul is incomplete
I always carry her among my suitcase things
And he who is in a poet's phrases does not die
I wanted to conquer the world but I was always on a diet
I had it in my hands but it was just a model
My grandmother says the Lord doesn't drown, he just tightens
But there's no air left to fly this kite
And in the darkness
Of my loneliness
Sometimes I find happiness
I'm not just a visitor now, I'm a local
I'm with myself and that gives me peace (yeah)
I'm sentimental
I don't want to cry
It doesn't matter anymore, I better leave it
I better go back to the mirror
But
Whose reflection do I see?
There's nothing left of what was there yesterday
The lost look
Changes your life
I can't recognize myself
Today you have the world at your feet
And tomorrow your train passes by
Only trams remain
Heading towards droughts
And I'm dying of thirst
Bad women, the game, the drugs
I put on a gold chain
But I felt like a noose
The watch on my wrist says
That my time has come
I'm sure if I die it's when I'm playing on the radio
Because hypocrisy is in charge here
I'm so full of hate and anger
I'm on fire with cold hands
I know if I speak to her, she wouldn't respond
Whose reflection do I see?
There's nothing
Of what was there yesterday
The lost look
Changes your life
I can't recognize myself
Today you have the world at your feet
And tomorrow your train passes by
Only trams remain
Heading towards droughts
And I'm dying of thirst
