O Cowboy e a Gaúcha
Milena Stepanienco
The Cowboy and the Gaucha
The foreign cowboy came to visit me here
To know my Rio Grande, a good land to live
I lent him my horse, we went galloping
I jumped, he leaped through the field without stopping
Very good, beautiful, he kept exclaiming
He showed a dance even good to dance
I jumped, danced, played applauding the good boy
Who stomped the ground in his cowboy outfit
Then I took the harmonica... Gave him a guitar
We mixed country with our vanerão
I taught the cowboy to have a chimarrão
I showed our customs and our tradition
He even wore the bombacha and learned to dance
The rain dance didn't want to stop
The foreign cowboy came to visit me here
To know my Rio Grande, a good land to live
I lent him my horse, we went galloping
I jumped, he leaped through the field without stopping

He even wore the bombacha and learned to dance
The rain dance didn't want to stop
I taught the cowboy to have a chimarrão
I showed our customs and our tradition
He even wore the bombacha and learned to dance
The chula dance didn't want to stop
The cowboy left, but promising to return
He said I loved Rio Grande, I will carry memories
The cowboy left, but promising to return
Said maybe one day, even come back to stay
