My Son

My son, how many times have I heard you say
That you can no longer walk with the weight of this cross
Listen well, my cross was much bigger than yours
And I carried it alone through the streets, all the way to Calvary

I was humiliated, hurt without anyone to help me
At Calvary, I saw death waiting for me, I faced everything alone
And that's how I gained experience, today son, you have my presence
And that's why you have no reason to leave this cross

Son, one should not abandon a cross and retreat
For those who do so are losers
Imagine if I had acted that way
Your end would be sad, without my hand, without a savior
Son, this cross is heavy now
But in the end, it is victory for those who do not retreat
And those who remain faithful
Have the right in heaven to a place to rest

I was humiliated, hurt without anyone to help me
At Calvary, I saw death waiting for me, I faced everything alone
And that's how I gained experience, today son, you have my presence
And that's why you have no reason to leave this cross

Son, one should not abandon a cross and retreat
For those who do so are losers
Imagine if I had acted that way
Your end would be sad, without my hand, without a savior
Son, this cross is heavy now
But in the end, it is victory for those who do not retreat
And those who remain faithful
Have the right in heaven to a place to rest

Son, one should not abandon a cross and retreat
For those who do so are losers
Imagine if I had acted that way
Your end would be sad, without my hand, without a savior
Son, this cross is heavy now
But in the end, it is victory for those who do not retreat
And those who remain faithful
Have the right in heaven to a place to rest
