Lágrimas de Escarcha

Frost Tears
Do you hear the night talking about love?
It's like the morse code of the blue moon,
It's a language of star and light,
Tongue of lovers.
Do you hear the dawn? Do you listen to its voice?
It counts the things you used to say
When you spoke to me with your heart.
That was before.
Now we sharpen our loneliness,
Now we stay silent out of fear to speak,
Every word denies the truth;
Kind silence.
From the soul will arise
Frost tears
That burn me
Such loneliness
That my dry eyes
Won't deceive you
You won't deceive yourself.
And even if the earth rolled backwards
And even if the rain drowned from thirst
Or the calendar lost a month
I would endure this pain better,
This agony.
From the soul will arise
Frost tears
That burn me
Such loneliness
That my dry eyes
Won't deceive you
From the soul will arise
Frost tears
That burn me
Such loneliness
That my dry eyes
Won't deceive you
Don't make me cry!
