Encanto Tropical
Monsieur Periné
Tropical Charm
Jingling in the wind, spinning to the beat
Of the subtle movement of the breeze as it sings
These jealous verses of the rain and the sea
That covered the time of tropical charm
With a wild soul, I learned as I walked
That with little baggage I can wander around
And reach places and tell who I am
I am mountain, I am valley, and from the river my voice
I am sister America, sugarcane, and cornmeal
I have mixed blood and my land is like this
A voice that doesn't quiet down, ancestral poetry
Proud gypsy, of tropical charm
Of tropical charm, it has the color of the morning
Tropical charm, under the shade of the palm grove
Tropical charm, sweet mystery that traps me
Tropical charm, among memories of water and salt
From the violent rhyme, I was born from a wave
From corals and flowers, I dressed my skin
In my hair, the aroma left by the coffee plantation
Perfumes the sky of my homeland
I am sister America, jungle, beach, and root
A libertarian voice that doesn't know how to die
And although many would like it, I can't hide it
Because I carry in my soul, tropical charm
Of tropical charm, it has the color of the morning
Tropical charm, under the shade of the palm grove
Tropical charm, sweet mystery that traps me
Tropical charm, among memories of water and salt
Tropical charm
Tropical charm
And that's how I remember my ideal landscape
And even if I go far away, I don't plan on forgetting
From the green mountain, from the flower and the palm grove
Because I carry in my soul, tropical charm
