El Oso
Moris
The Bear
I lived in the forest very happy
I walked, walked endlessly
The mornings and afternoons were mine
At night I lay down to rest
But one day the man came with his cages
He locked me up and took me to the city
In the circus they taught me acrobatics
And that's how I lost my beloved freedom
Accept it, an old tiger told me
Never will the roof and food be lacking
They only demand that we do the acrobatics
To bring joy to the children
Four years have passed in this life
With the circus I traveled the world like this
But I could never forget everything
My forests, my afternoons, nor myself
In a distant little town
Someone didn't close the padlock
It was a moonless night
And I left the city
Now I step on the ground of my forest
Once again the green of freedom
I am old, but the afternoons are mine
I return to the forest, I am truly happy
