Abracadabra mandra ay, because the nations have been in turmoil,
And the national groups themselves have spoken
Under their breath an empty thing,
The kings of the earth take their stand,
And the high officials themselves have gathered
Together as one against him,
And against his anointed,
And they say: let us break their bonds and cast away their cords from us,
The one who sits in the heavens laughs,
The Lord scoffs at them
Then he will speak to them in his wrath
And terrify them in his fury, saying
I have set my king on Zion,
My holy mountain. Let me tell you the decree of the Lord:
He said to me, 'You are my son; today I have become your father.
Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance,
the ends of the earth your possession.
You will break them with a rod of iron;
You will dash them to pieces like pottery.'
Now therefore, O kings, show insight;
Take warning, O judges of the earth.
Serve the Lord with fear
And rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry
And you perish in the way,
For his wrath is quickly kindled.
Happy are all who take refuge in him.
I will declare the decree:
The Lord said to me, 'You are my Son;
Today I have begotten you.
Ask of me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for your possession.
You shall break them with a rod of iron;
You shall dash them to pieces like a potter's vessel.'
Now therefore, be wise, O kings;
Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
Serve the Lord with fear,
And rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry,
And you perish in the way,
When his wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all those who put their trust in him.
