On the way I lift my gaze
I seek a horizon for my existence
A life worth living
An ideal for which to die
Where to build these desires?
How to feed the fire within me?
Only in the refuge of the eternal
Only in Him faithful to me until the end
On You, on the Rock
My whole life I will build
Only Christ, you my firm anchor
Only your love
The rains and winds will come
But firm my house will stand
To build consists of listening
To your words and putting them into practice
A life that reflects an encounter
With the Master: You show the truth
Here I am before your gaze
On my knees today I stand before You
Make me, Lord, an instrument
