I take this bread and this wine

Taking this bread that is your body
I commune with the transcendent church
Make your body eternal to my soul
By faith save me forever

I will carry your light with me
I will go into the world to proclaim
That you died for us on a cross
But you wanted to transform the world

Eating your body that was wheat
Sweated in the hands of the farmer
I carry your strength that nourishes
To change the world with love

I come hungry to this table
Where you give yourself in fullness
I come to share hope
The life of my youth
