War Poetry
They're gonna call me a demagogue for telling you what I think
For offending some fool with this tense speech
These verses spill and swim in anger
To leave you speechless like the book of this bitter homeland
Full of outcasts and fake gestures
Of corruption that falls on us like hail
Today I prophesy tomorrow and the image makes me tremble
We will be human mass programmed not to think
By stretching the rope of progress we remain stiff
Today the devils are the lions of the congress
That's why I live in a memento tattooing the past
That's why I forget the lament my breath is like a shot
I'm clear to do something useful and not resign
Before some son of a bitch comes to govern me
And they want to silence me with their slogan from the Kremlin
To the Oval Office evil is global without morals they steal from us
Cameras on drones control via satellite
Always a new law that protects our elites
Where are the leaders
I can't sleep anymore if Spain 2000 and profile groups resurface
What can I say I'm just ordinary people
Another one who clenches his teeth when the president speaks
I'll be consistent with what my conscience dictates
If between Franco or Rajoy today there's not much difference
Salaries in poverty, taxes rising
Few who realize peek at Belén Esteban's memoirs
There are no more sincere leaders, no way
Financial vultures say who shuts up and who will speak
We need more passion and less controversy
We need more action and less prayers in the church
To cure the narcolepsy that puts us to sleep
And let the people finally confront those who lie to them
Against those who want to steal my bread
Against those who pour salt on my wound
Against those who speak and spread evil
War poetry, my weapon in these bad times
Against those who will use martial law
Against those who escape from a trial
Against those who speak and spread evil
War poetry, my weapon in these bad times
They'll call me racist because my flag is white
They'll call me an extremist for not losing sight of the bank
But Spain stagnates and sinks, that's the truth
The only law that's followed here is gravity
A society dressed in black that lost its spark
Of Judas without honor, of Saint Peter without a prism
My voice the same but my charisma is acid
While MCs only want beef and quick success
Everything is rotten, your luck depends on who
Maybe on Christine Lagarde and Angela Merkel
Bárcenas and Camps, Urdangarín, Matas and Fabra
I could go on for days, the list is so long
But they speak and don't apologize
The rich sweat well-being, don't know how to cry, never did
Look in this democracy, you'll see there won't be prosperity
And behind Aguirre's name there won't be hope
I saw a battered Europe, no suspicions
While companies finance parties, the trap is set
They know the solutions but don't want to say it
It would mean losing their power, they won't allow it
It's the danger of fascism in every nation
They come out in suits and ties on your television
Blame immigration for defiling their Eden
Now Hitler is called Geert Wilders and Marine Le Pen
And here a back and forth of botches and embezzlements
Submarines that don't float and airports with no planes
Statements that are an insult
If someone who steals a ham spends more time in prison than a corrupt one
I wonder if perhaps justice is from this world
If perhaps greed is our deepest vice
I spread this song, not sure if it serves any purpose
My disenchantment is gray because my vote will be blank
Against those who want to steal my bread
Against those who pour salt on my wound
Against those who speak and spread evil
War poetry, my weapon in these bad times
Against those who will use martial law
Against those who escape from a trial
Against those who speak and spread evil
War poetry, my weapon in these bad times
