Construction
He loved that time as if it were THE LAST.
Kissed his woman as if it were THE LAST.
And to each of his children as if they were the ONLY ones.
And crossed the street with his SHY step.
He climbed the construction as if he were a MACHINE.
Raised in some place four SOLID walls.
Brick by brick in a MAGICAL design.
His eyes soaked with cement and TEARS.
He rested as if it were SATURDAY.
Ate beans and rice as if he were A PRINCE.
Drank and sobbed as if he were a CASTAWAY.
Danced and laughed as if he HEARD MUSIC.
And stumbled in the sun as if he were A COMEDIAN.
He swayed and trembled as if he were A BIRD.
And ended up on the ground like a package of ALCOHOLIC.
And agonized in the middle of the PUBLIC walkway.
He died against traffic interrupting THE TRAFFIC.
He loved that time as if he were THE ONLY one.
Kissed his woman as if it were THE LAST.
And to each of his children as if they were the PRODIGAL.
And crossed the street with his COMICAL step.
He climbed the construction as if it were SOLID.
Raised in some place four MAGICAL walls.
Brick by brick in a LOGICAL design.
His eyes soaked with cement and TRAFFIC.
He rested as if he were A PRINCE.
Ate beans and rice as if he were TOXIC.
Drank and sobbed as if he were a MACHINE.
Danced and laughed as if he were THE NEIGHBOR.
And stumbled in the sun as if he HEARD MUSIC.
He swayed and trembled as if it were SATURDAY.
And ended up on the ground like a SHY package
that agonized in the middle of the CASTAWAY walkway.
He died against traffic interrupting THE PUBLIC.
He loved that time as if it were MAGICAL.
(He loved that time as if it were THE LAST)
Kissed his woman as if it were TOXIC.
(Kissed his woman as if it were ALCOHOLIC)
And to each of his children as if they were A PRINCE.
And crossed the street with his LOGICAL step.
(LUCID, MYSTIC)
He climbed the construction as if he were ALCOHOLIC.
(He climbed the construction as if he were THE ONLY one)
Raised in some place four SHY walls.
Brick by brick in a LUCID design.
His eyes soaked with cement and VERTIGO.
He rested as if he were A CASTAWAY.
Ate beans and rice as if they were TEARS.
Drank and sobbed as if it were SATURDAY.
Danced and laughed as if he were A COMEDIAN.
And stumbled in the sun as if he were A BIRD.
He swayed and trembled as if he HEARD MUSIC.
And ended up on the ground like a TRAGIC package.
And agonized in the middle of the INCREDULOUS walkway.
He died against traffic interrupting THE NEIGHBOR.
He loved that time as if he were A MACHINE.
(Kissed his woman as if it were LOGICAL)
Raised in some place four SHY walls.
(He rested as if he were A BIRD)
And stumbled in the sun as if he were A PRINCE.
And ended up on the ground like a package of ALCOHOLIC.
He died against traffic interrupting THE SATURDAY.
