Será
Nahuel Pennisi
It Will Be
I’m crossing the darkened grass
There’s no more noise, everyone’s gone
The party’s over and I’m still alive
Gathering ghosts, past and cold
Past and cold like a goodbye
Walking alone, soul aching
I can barely remember your poetry
Almost a sonnet, almost a rhyme
Time burns everything but life
Silence remains, like a thorn
A thorn from your rhythmic wine
Warm and sour, I sip it slowly
If I were to find you
It wouldn’t be a coincidence
Everything has a beginning
And an end
It won’t just be a stroll
On the peak of the sky
It will be what it must be
It will be
If I were to find you
It wouldn’t be a coincidence
Everything has a beginning
And an end
It won’t just be a stroll
On the peak of the sky
It will be what it must be
It will be
I’m zigzagging, dodging ruins
Through the rubble and the fatigue
Putting cold compresses on the apathy
With a magnifying glass, in the senses
You left so early
Without a goodbye
Naked and fragile
In no rush
If I were to find you
It wouldn’t be a coincidence
Everything has a beginning
And an end
It won’t just be a stroll
On the peak of the sky
It will be what it must be
It will be
If I were to find you
It wouldn’t be a coincidence
Everything has a beginning
And an end
It won’t just be a stroll
On the peak of the sky
It will be what it must be
It will be
If I were to find you
It wouldn’t be a coincidence
Everything has a beginning
And an end
It won’t just be a stroll
On the peak of the sky
It will be what it must be
It will be
It won’t be a coincidence
