Echoes of the Mountain
The mountain path I started walking is littered with shards of glass.
Warnings dropped by those who couldn’t go on, crying as they stopped.
If it pierces you, it hurts, pain that cuts through your heart and brain.
I don’t have a handkerchief to wipe my tears, so I use my T-shirt and face forward.
The place I can see from here is my old high school.
Back then, it was shining bright; now it’s just boring, that’s the norm.
But it’s up to me, I want to shine brighter than I did back then.
Brighter than I did, brighter than I did, brighter than I did, brighter than I did.
Yeah, the original dream is wishing, "Help me, someone push me from behind!" Believe in yourself.
Leaving behind the sleep on someone’s arm, too desperate, I find myself sleeping on the floor at night.
Someday, won’t I rise like fireworks and take over?
If you go up, the path is silent, no sounds to be heard.
Only the sound of my footsteps, pat-pat-pat, only my breath, ha-ha-ha.
I learned from Japan that I don’t know if tomorrow will come the same way.
But believe in tomorrow, walk that steep mountain path.
Oh ho ho ho, your mountain path.
Oh ho ho ho, your scream.
Oh ho ho ho, your echoes from the mountain.
Oh ho ho ho, let it resonate in your heart.
You can start right now to grab that flag at the summit.
If holding a pen is your path,
If saving and enduring is your path,
If walking every day is my path,
If riding the waves is his path,
If facing the PC is my path,
If dressing up is her path,
If holding a knife is your path,
If hitting the dirt is my path,
If traveling is that kid’s path,
If holding scissors is your path,
If learning to drink is that guy’s path,
If gripping the impact is their path,
If wrapping a child’s hand is the path, the path, the path.
The height of the summit isn’t something to compare with others.
The strength to believe in yourself and walk to the top is everything.
If you have to turn back right in front of the summit,
That’s courage too, wipe your tears.
Climb again, no matter how many times, and face forward.
Oh ho ho ho, your mountain path.
Oh ho ho ho, your scream.
Oh ho ho ho, your echoes from the mountain.
Oh ho ho ho, let it resonate in your heart, resonate, resonate, resonate.
