Casa da Floresta
Nanan
Forest House
I want to live in a little handmade house
In a forest where I can plant whatever I want
And walk barefoot
And I'll plant pineapple with banana
Cassava, cocoa, sweet potato, beans
Heart of palm and a very pretty coffee
In the shade of the orange and papaya trees
Under the coconut tree canopy, açaí
Avocado tree, cashew tree, and passion fruit
And up high the rubber tree with the guapuruvu
By the edge contemplating a view of the sea
Because
I want to live in a little handmade house
In a forest where I can plant whatever I want
And walk barefoot
And there will be a trail to the river, waterfall, and cascade
With the toucan's call and the song of the thrush
In the butterfly's flight, the saíra all cheerful
Lurking in search of dinner
Native bees making a hive
Collecting here and there
I hope there's a wood stove
And much to celebrate
I want to live in a little handmade house
In a forest where I can plant whatever I want
And walk barefoot
With the care of the machete, erase the illusion
That what is good is what produces too much
Trust in nature without staining your beauty
With poison and other things
Have about eight dogs to have a party
Right away as soon as I arrive
Without idleness or laziness, enjoy firmly
What the land gives us
I want to live in a little handmade house
In a forest where I can plant whatever I want
And walk barefoot
