Los Hombres Pa’ Las Mujeres
Nancy Guevara
Men for Women
I am a conscious black woman
Affectionate and daring
But I clearly understand
The issues of life
I always hear comments
From some of my friends
That my husband is I don't know what
That my boyfriend, if you say so
That they are all cut
By a single measure
Fall on me if you want
If I get defensive
For a man I give everything
All of my life
Even if he has been married
Those things don't intrigue me
As long as he loves me a lot
And makes me his favorite
For a man I came into the world
And a man brought me to this life
God and man on this earth
That's what the Bible says
Other fellow singers
I don't know why they criticize
I am a woman and I have one
He loves me, wants me, and spoils me
That there are scoundrel men
That's true, my friends
Just as there are women
With amusing habits
That they are all the same
That's what tires me
But I defend mine
And may God bless me
He gives me what I want
In a very fulfilling way
So much is said about them
And so much they fascinate us
It's okay if they get upset
But don't contradict themselves
Yesterday afternoon came Rosa
Carmencita and Josefina
Mistreating and cursing
The fathers of their daughters
Men for women
That's the law of life
To live happily
Whoever thinks like that can follow me
I won't change my mind
No matter what they say
Let all men live
I defend them as long as I live
