A Luz

On that middle cross
My Lord was dying
Like a light fading away
For when Christ breathed his last
The whole world darkened
Hope was gone
Jesus died

His mother lamented
His brothers also wept
And the disciples looked
And among themselves they said
Oh, how much Christ loved us
Now everything is over
Jesus died

But on the third day, the energy from heaven came
And that light shone again
To illuminate our hearts
He is alive
He is alive
He has risen
Christ has risen
