Décimas a La Viola
Nano Stern
Décimas to the Viola
Let's celebrate the viola in violin and accordion
Let's sing more than a choir so that the lady lives
So that her singing soul flies like a little bird
Let's use flutes and whistles, drums and tambourines
Let's sing joys and pains with small charangos
She has almost lived a century, no longer seventeen
But her singing attacks strongly like an old wine
To which time and destiny make more intense
And these verses that I weave are nothing but a stream
Sheltered in her flight that is like a huge flow
The singers still reflect on their songs
Which are like blessings for those who sing them
For those who get emotional listening to those truths
Interweaving friendships, among intense melodies
That are wool in harmony like notes in looms
And in her singing that gives everything we thank life
And then she is a friend who cheers you up without delay
Even when I cry, she keeps me company
Delivering the joy of her indescribable singing
Of her unpredictable flight, of her strength and energy
