Flor Del Cactus

Cactus Flower
The perfume of the cactus flower
Hides behind the good smell
A poison that slowly kills you
Little by little from so much pain
With its colorful petals
It seduces you and confuses reason
And with its camouflaged thorns
Then it pierces your heart
Neither the sorcerers nor the surgeons
Have a cure for this suffering
That suffocates you and takes away your sleep
And strips you of your being
Inside its green veins
The cactus carries real blood
When you take it, the soul awakens
And hallucinates with happiness
Then the snakes visit you
They lift you up and make you fly
But when they come out of your mouth
It hurts so much that you have to vomit
Neither the sorcerers nor the surgeons
Have a cure for this suffering
That suffocates you and takes away your sleep
And strips you of your being
Only time will make me get used
To living with this disease
And just as scars remain
Its memory will not leave me
Its memory will not leave me
Its memory will not leave me
