Herbst
Nargaroth
Autumn
The dying sun sinks
Blood-red in misty sleep
Regret stirs in the heart
Where once my failure struck me
And my hands now wilted like paper
Burn in the heart's cool void
And old laughter, that makes me shudder
Mocks me in all this pain
And no scar remained nameless
In the battle of vanity
Bleeding, we remained in the field
And lick the wounds of time
The song of the Norns warns
Of so much once sleeping
The love story breaks
No matter how serious you mean it
The tears rest like young rain
On grass soon dying
Softly moss clings to weathered walls
Of the hearts I never forgot
Where did the longing for your skin go?
It screams in my head alone
So that all alone happens to me
With all its doubt and screams
The strange bed I fled to in the evening
Was just as cold in the morning
Once our hearts were united
Now dry, deceived, and old
I have lied so often for you
No matter with whom you slept
There is still a foreign scent in your hair
Resembling the demon you flee from
For a long time we haven't looked into each other's eyes
Because we stole too many kisses
At night we cut our sins into our flesh
That forever remind us of the torment
We drunkenly climb thousands of castles
That are soon ruins
But alas, not yet standing from stone battlements
So our dreams already die in the wind
