Wenn Regen Liebt
Nargaroth
When Rain Loves
Once I ran through wild fields
Dressed only in my heart.
But it offered me no protection,
Torn apart by human filth.
I ran down unknown paths.
I screamed my tears deep into the land.
Cursed the one who gifted me life
And asked who guides my fate.
My own fate is unbound,
From the power of my own hand.
But who then drew the paths
That took away my mind?
The rain fell on my skin,
Like tears - it felt so familiar.
I spread my arms wide,
And screamed my pain out loud...
So I enjoyed its tears
That fell upon my skin.
It also cooled my eyelids,
Our cries became a roar.
I lay down in the damp grass
And sang what I read from the clouds.
And I understood the lines that the poet wrote:
That raindrops are tears that fall when rain loves.
