Alas De Libertad
Natalia Oreiro
Wings of Freedom
Kids grow
on the opposite side of life
where there is no justice or truth.
And how it hurts
so much sadness in their smiles
it's so hard to accept reality.
Where hunger
is already a drifting habit
on the sides of any city.
They don't see, they don't hear
they don't feel
What does it matter if it was always there.
They don't see they are children
they can't wait.
Let's help them start to fly,
in their wings they carry our freedom.
They are barefoot
walking towards the unknown
on the path of their sad reality.
If I could give them
more than a coin.
But it's not enough
with a piece of bread.
And they are losing, they are suffering, they are growing
in cardboard cradles and loneliness.
(kids chorus)
They don't see, they don't hear
they don't feel.
What does it matter
if it was always here.
They don't see, we are children
We can't wait.
Help us to start flying.
In your hands
you carry our freedom.
