El Encuentro

The Encounter
Today we don't sleep, everyone awake
Put on hoods for the encounter
Stay sharp in case the moment arrives
To send enemies to hell
Don't shoot, orders from the old man
Friends, that's what the sergeant said
A line that takes away my fear
When I bring the horn slung
In the mountains I pass the two hundred mark
Without lights to move covertly
My neurons at over five hundred
Because of the dust that keeps me awake
Not nervous at all, they're men from the ghetto
Bald, bearded, black suits
And with this we go all the way to Hermosillo, Sonora, old folks!
Ay-ay-ay!
In my mind only the advice
From the saint when I was in prison
There's nothing like this
The rain of bullets and suspense
I just tell you to grow old
That in this job that doesn't exist
Here you only stumble
And that's when we lose our lives
Today we don't sleep, everyone awake
Put on hoods for the encounter
Stay sharp in case the moment arrives
To send enemies to hell
Don't shoot, orders from the old man
Friends, that's what the sergeant said
