Walking on Water
From the dock, Apostle Andrew was fishing
And the Savior walked on the water
And Andrew pulled out some minnows
While the Savior saved lost souls
And Andrew shouted, I’ll leave the dock
If you’ll just share your secret with me
And the Savior replied,
Calm down, Andrew, there’s no secret here
See that cross up on the hill?
There’s a dozen soldiers underneath it, hang out there
And when you get tired, come back down
To walk on water, walk on water, walk on water with me!
But teacher, the helmets are shining with horns
A black crow circles above the cross
Explain it to me now, have mercy on a fool
And save the crucifixion for later
The Savior fell silent and stomped in frustration
On the water’s surface with his foot
You really are a fool! and Andrew in tears
Trudged home with his minnows
See that cross up on the hill?
There’s a dozen soldiers underneath it, hang out there
And when you get tired, come back down
To walk on water, walk on water, walk on water with me!
See that cross up on the hill?
There’s a dozen soldiers underneath it, hang out there
And when you get tired, come back down
To walk on water, walk on water, walk on water with me!
