Santa Terezinha
Nenete & Dorinho
Saint Therese
Still very small
Among the virtuous sisters
Every morning Therese
Would come to pick beautiful roses
She would go to the church to pray
Kneeling before the cross
And would place the roses on the altar
Consecrated to the divine Child Jesus
Therese then
Raised an altar in her heart
Adorned by prayer so sincere and ardent
A fervent prayer like the beautiful rose
The little saint's gaze
Never turned away from the cross
And all her love until she died
Was always, always for Jesus
Saint of the roses, gentle and childlike
Give protection to my Brazil
Pray Lady, Virgin Mary
Day of peace and joy
Honor, glory, and splendor of victory
She would go to the church to pray
Kneeling before the cross
And would place the roses on the altar
Consecrated to the divine Child Jesus
