Saint Joseph, I wanted to be like you: Holy man
Man of faith who pleased God
Saint Joseph, you obeyed the Father
And welcomed as a necessity the mother of the Savior
Ah! Saint Joseph, chaste man, faithful man!
I want to have your purity to please God
When the angel appeared, and the order came in a dream
You took care to fulfill it
Ah! What firmness of will! You loved in truth
Forgetting about yourself
Saint Joseph, you took care of the little God
Today He has grown, come take care of me
Take me by the hands of your prayer
And deliver me to your Jesus, I want to love Him
