Marcas de Sangue
Ninfa e Calita
Blood Marks
Heavy log, for our sins
Jesus was carrying!
Those soldiers, cruel and wicked
They beat him without stopping
His blood was flowing, down his back
From his body to the ground
And the mark remained, where He stepped
Blood was shed then
Blood marks remained
There in the middle of the street, in Jerusalem!
And Jesus was beaten, but did not complain
Carrying on his shoulders, a cross as well
The soldiers pushed, when He got tired
Forced to continue
They beat his back
With a whip of braids, with tips
Bullets to hurt
In the city came out, Simon of Cyrene came
From the field arriving
He too was forced, by those soldiers
To carry the cross on his shoulders
Arriving at Calvary, a sad scene
Many could see there!
There they nailed Jesus, on that cross
Blood marks remained
Blood marks remained
There in the middle of the street, in Jerusalem!
And Jesus was beaten, but did not complain
Carrying on his shoulders, a cross as well
The soldiers pushed, when He got tired
Forced to continue
They beat his back
With a whip of braids, with tips
Bullets to hurt
Blood marks remained
There in the middle of the street, in Jerusalem!
And Jesus was beaten, but did not complain
Carrying on his shoulders, a cross as well
The soldiers pushed, when He got tired
Forced to continue
They beat his back
With a whip of braids, with tips
Bullets to hurt
