Peregrino

our life in this world is compared
like the snow that appears at dawn
like the flower that blooms so beautifully
dries up, falls to the ground, and is seen no more

pilgrim in this world I know I am
my permanent dwelling is not here
but with Christ very soon I will happily
reside in the beautiful homeland of the future

Man can have a lot of money
good reputation and a good position
our time in this world is temporary
poor or rich, death reaps and makes no exception

The Bible says only Jesus can give
to those who believe in eternity, paradise
while living, man has the right to prepare himself
after death, only judgment condemns
