Johnny, No Sabe Por Qué
Noel Nicola
Johnny, Doesn't Know Why
Born in a neighborhood by the water,
Dipped his feet there one morning,
He said, 'the whole world is my home'.
Thousands of stones at the windows,
Kisses under strange staircases,
Maybe a bit of weed
And a knuckle duster and a switchblade.
Johnny, doesn't know why,
Willy, doesn't know why,
Billy, doesn't know why.
He was sought by an old man with beards,
In a suit with blue and white stripes,
He said, 'The army is calling you, Asia'.
He thought that there Superman and Batman
Would have his back:
Everything would be like a day at the beach.
The foreign jungle is now his home
And he felt thirsty there one morning,
He went to approach a well of water
And fell into a pit of stakes.
