Vida de Missionário

With a heavy heart, he goes
Leaving children, relatives, and friends, but he goes
To bring the message of love, facing rain, cold, and heat
But he goes, he will do the will of the Father

He heads towards a direction
For he also knows that on the other side, there is a mission
There is someone waiting for him and already calling for help:
Please help me, I'm dying!

But he goes, he goes in a hurry
Even without holding back the tears, he moves forward without looking back
And when he arrives, someone supports him and says: Thank you very much, the work has begun

Missionary, God is with you
While someone cried out to God, He heard the groaning
Missionary, go through the fields and valleys
Rejoice for your enemy has already been defeated

Behind the highest mountains, he goes
And even in humble huts, he goes
His heart asks to go back, but he knows he has to stay
For there are many lives to be saved

Still, he continues the work with much love
And there alone, with his knees on the ground, he speaks to the Lord

He doesn't forget that when he left, he said goodbye to the Church
And said: Brothers, pray for me, it was God who sent me!
