Uma Casa de Caboclo
Nonô e Naná
A Caboclo's House
My house, which is a caboclo's house
Doesn't have the comfort that other houses have
What I really have is very little
But fortunately, it's enough for me and someone else
Thanks to God, it's a blessed house
On my table, there's always something to eat
And if by chance someone asks for shelter
Be sure that I host with pleasure
I don't envy those with prettier houses
Nor do I look down on a humble shack
What matters is finding in a rich house
Or in a hovel, a kind heart
And whoever seeks a caboclo's house
Doesn't need to shout to be heard
It's enough to signal that they're arriving
Someone will come and invite us in
If you don't know a caboclo's house
Don't underestimate it, come visit mine
A little coffee with cakes won't take long
Depending on the time, you might stay for dinner
A simple little house nestled at the foot of the mountain
If you're a friend, don't mind where I live
Come see up close my sky here on earth
And meet the children that I adore
