From the beautiful homeland I am far away, sad I am
I miss Jesus, when will I go?
Birds, beautiful flowers, make me long
For the wonders and splendors of my heavenly home

Christ gave me a faithful promise: Come and get me
My heart is in a hurry, I want to fly now
My sins were many, and I am guilty
But His blood cleanses me, and I go to the homeland

Like a son, longing for his home, I want to go
Like a bird to its nest, I want to rise to Heaven
He is faithful, the coming is certain; when, I do not know
But He will find me alert; with Him to Heaven I will go
