I almost didn't sleep
I couldn't forget
The time I found Jesus!
Your way of speaking, your voice, your meekness
Your eyes shine brighter than the light
The great compassion he showed in treating
No one left, so I approached
Shot my heart
Jesus of Nazareth I saw
Master, what will I do to inherit eternal life?
What good can I do?
I waited attentively for the master to explain
I wanted to live with Jesus
But when you told me about everything I gained
I would have to donate it to someone!
Jesus continued saying and I listened:
"Disdain your wealth and come!"
Wealth or salvation, I couldn't choose
What a tough decision for me
Sad and helpless, I turned my back on Jesus
It marked my end once and for all!
