Gray Days
I always knew gray days existed
That after the wounds, scars remain
Just like there are bad days, there are happy ones
And life hits you, it doesn’t give you a heads up
I've seen mothers cry, I've seen fathers suffer
I've seen the people break down not knowing where to go
Not knowing what to do while they cried for help
But we were betrayed just like Judas did on that day
Help didn’t come while the days went by
Corpses in the streets while the kids cried
Mothers struggling, fathers broken by ruin
Elderly folks desolate with crime on the corner
We fell and cried, together we got back up
And we learned from life, to share like brothers
And even though many took advantage, stole and looted
There were always good people who overshadowed the bad
Valencia isn’t afraid, my people won’t sink
It has a heart that no one can break
With our eyes forward, always strong, united in one voice
And even the cripple who couldn’t walk stood up
We are the light that doesn’t fade, the fire that won’t burn out
The faith that never ends, fighting from moon to moon
We are the sun that warms, the soul that unites us all
We are the question and the answer, the light at the end of the tunnel
Here I’ll be
In the same neighborhood, on the same corner where I grew up
Fighting for my own, the good and the bad, I’ll stay here
Today my people shout loudly, rise up
Oh, rise up
